On Friday 13th December, we hosted our annual Pensioners Party which was, as ever, a raving success!

Pensioners from our local parishes along with friends and family of the school were warmly welcomed by our prefect and Chaplaincy team to the school and seated at their table – lovingly decorated with Christmas wreaths and candles.

A four course meal was served by our student helpers of Pâté, Roast Turkey with all the trimmings, a selection of festive deserts and Coffee and Mince Pie to finish! We even had a fully stocked (free) bar to satisfy everyone’s tipple!

After the meal, entertainment was provided by our wonderful dancers who performed to a number of Christmas hits. Then we were treated to a beautiful solo from former pupil Georgia who wowed us with her incredible talent.

No party would be complete without a game of Bingo, called by our one and only Mrs O’Grady and then to end the party, we had a raffle – all the prizes of which were donated by staff and students of the school.

For those who couldn’t make the party or who are housebound, sick or in hospital; the school sent them a voucher and a warm wish to them over the festive season.

We really hope that everyone who came to the party enjoyed themselves as much as we did and we wish you all a very merry Christmas and a joyous new year! We hope to see you again at next years party!

Special thanks must go to the Catering Academy for providing us with the delicious food and the PTA for helping out and manning the bar and coffee station!
