Y7 Retreat – A Fantastic Start to Their Eddies Life

Our new Year 7 pupils have enjoyed a fantastic retreat, providing them with a wonderful opportunity to get to know one another, build new friendships and begin their journey together as part of the St Edmund Arrowsmith community.
The retreat was all about teamwork, friendship, confidence and making positive choices. Through a range of activities and challenges, our pupils worked together, supported one another and discovered more about the people they will be sharing their secondary school journey with.
The retreat also gave our new Eddies the opportunity to explore what it means to live out our mission statement and put ACTIONS into practice. From showing kindness and respect to working collaboratively and looking out for one another, our Year 7 pupils demonstrated many of the qualities we hope will become part of everyday life at St Edmund Arrowsmith.
Our Chaplain, Will, said:
“It has been fantastic to see our new Year 7 pupils getting to know each other, building confidence and working together. They have embraced the challenges of the retreat and really started to understand what it means to be part of the St Edmund Arrowsmith family. It has been a fantastic start to their Eddies life.”
The retreat has been a brilliant way for our newest pupils to begin their St Edmund Arrowsmith journey, creating memories, friendships and a strong sense of belonging.
We are incredibly proud of how they have embraced the experience and look forward to seeing them continue to grow, support one another and live out our ACTIONS throughout their time at Eddies.
