eek, Y10 students took part in an exciting and inspiring visit to the University of Leeds, offering them a unique opportunity to experience university life first-hand.
The day gave students a real sense of what studying at university is like. They explored the campus, attended departments, Brotherton Library, student accommodation and spoke with current students about their experiences. The open day helped demystify the world of higher education, giving our pupils valuable insight into university courses, student life, and the different degrees available to them. For many of our students, it was their first time setting foot on a university campus, and the visit had a noticeable impact on their confidence and ambition. One student commented, “I never really thought university was for me, but now I can actually imagine myself going.”
The trip was not just educational—it was aspirational. It opened students’ eyes to new possibilities and encouraged them to start thinking about their futures in a positive and proactive way.
A huge thank you goes to all the staff who helped organise and support the visit. Your time, care, and encouragement ensured that our pupils had a meaningful and memorable experience that could shape the direction of their lives for years to come.
