Pupils from across the Y7-10 Climate Groups and senior prefects from St Aidan's Catholic Primary joined forces to take part in tree planting on our school field.

Tree planting helps combat climate change by absorbing carbon dioxide, acting as natural carbon sinks, and releasing oxygen. It also supports biodiversity, improves air quality, and regulates local climates, making it a vital step in mitigating global warming. The tree saplings were provided by Woodlands Trust!

A big THANK YOU to our wonderful green fingered site maintenance team for nurturing the saplings until we were ready to plant and also for preparing the ground for us.  We managed to plant all 135 as a result!
