The school was buzzing with excitement last night when the Year 8 and Year 9 football teams played against Hawkley Hall teams in the Wigan Schools KO Cup.
The Y8 team had a dramatic battle going 1-0 down, then going 2-1 ahead being pulled back to 2-2 and then finally winning 3-2 in the final minutes to beat Hawkley Hall. The Y9's were fantastic, and dominated the game with a 3-0 performance. They gave an emphatic and disciplined performance and Mr Hind was absolutely bursting with pride.
Thank you to all the parents, staff and volunteers for supporting both teams, as there was a real community spirit. Also, MASSIVE SHOUT OUT to Mr Hind and Mr Taylor for organising and coaching the teams, also their enthusiasm and pride, which is very much appreciated.
