Ethan Makes the Grade at Wigan Warriors
24 November 2017
I was delighted to meet up on Wednesday with one of our former pupils, Ethan Havard, who was in Year 11 last year and who represented the school at rugby in all of the five years he was here.
Ethan came to tell me that he had received a letter from the head coach at Wigan Warriors, Shaun Wane, celebrating the fact that he has recently joined the Warriors as a professional rugby player. The letter praised the school and thanked us for the help and support offered to Ethan while he was a pupil here. Ethan was always respectful and courteous towards others - qualities we try very hard to engender in our pupils, and it is clear to see that he has a very bright future in front of him.
As a school we are incredibly proud of Ethan, his attitude, conduct and sheer hard work really make him stand out and I appreciate all his contributions while he was a pupil here. As a Wigan fan myself, I am excited at the prospect of Ethan breaking into the first team to join our other former pupils Joe Burgess, Oliver Gildart and Joe Bretherton!
