I am delighted to announce that we have selected our Head Girl – Kiera and Head Boy - John, as well as two deputy head girls – Caitlin and Kate, plus two deputy head boys – Matthew and Jack.  We will also have 18 other members of the senior prefect team, they are: Charlie, Daniel, James, Matthew, Ellie, Rachel, Natalie, Abigail, Megan, Abigail, Isabelle, Keva, Chloe, Kate, Anabel, Chloe, Robyn and Grace.

The interview process was as tough as ever and I am absolutely certain all of our senior prefect team, together with all the other prefects will do a fantastic job over the coming year - we are all very proud of them!

The Art department took the Y10 GCSE pupils to Rome over half term and the pupils were absolutely fantastic! They can be seen here spending a little time relaxing at the side of the Trevi Fountain whilst soaking up the atmosphere!

Mr Reardon told me that Y9 have made a good start since coming back from their half term break having already accumulated 311 achievement points as a year group. 9B were the biggest contributors to that total with 53 so congratulations to Miss Ashurst's form! The biggest individual contributor was Harrison in 9W with 11, followed closely by Abbie (9W) and Emily (9S). Well done! Keep up the hard work!
Historians of the Week this week are: for Mrs Cole, Molly in 10A2 for preparing thoroughly for tasks set in GCSE history intervention sessions. For Mr Linton, Christopher in 10B2 for achieving a good mark in his first 12-mark exam question and for Mrs Easton, Matthew in 9G for achieving a very high mark in his end of year exam.
Mrs Ainsworth told me that the Geography Club have worked extremely hard on the humanities assembly this week. They have participated beautifully and have been wonderful in promoting World Environment Day with an aim to reduce our use of plastic.  A fantastic message and Mrs Ainsworth could not be prouder of all the pupils involved. She has also been really impressed by the real team effort and kindness of the pupils who work in the 'tech box' at the back of the assemblies, they helped with setting up and made sure it all ran smoothly. Great work everyone!
