I have fantastic news this week! Our school appears in a short video on the BBC website, you can click on this link to watch it:

I am so proud of all the pupils and staff involved as this continues our work with the BBC, where we have appeared on one of the BBC channels, radio or website every year since 2013 when we appeared on ‘Songs of Praise’.  I could not praise highly enough all the people from the BBC we have worked with over the years, they are always brilliant! Mrs Graham does an unbelievable job liaising with everyone, making sure everybody knows what is going on; we are very lucky to have her on our staff!

Mr Reardon told me that Y9 have had another excellent week, especially with parents’ evening taking place on Thursday. Teachers have recognised all the hard work that the year group has put in this week with the achievement point total reaching 472. A particular congratulations has to go to 9M this week for having the highest attendance and recording no late marks. Well done! A great group effort. In terms of individual achievements, Tyler Jones has topped the leader board with 9 points, followed closely in second by Cassie Brown. Excellent work!

Mrs Outterside has also been very impressed with Y11 as they have collected a grand total of 346 achievement points this week! James Forshaw and Holly Smith take the individual pupil lead with 7 points each. B2 and L2 take the form lead with 42 points each. S1 have the lowest number of behaviour points this week. Congratulations to all pupils! S2 have the top attendance this week with 99.41% and M2 have the lowest number of lates for the week. Congratulations to all pupils for their very good attendance and punctuality.

Congratulations to the ‘Historians of the Week’ - for Mrs Cole it is Charlotte Cunliffe in 8C, for consistent effort in both her lessons and homework, for Mrs Easton it is Harry Jackson in 9W, for consistent effort in his lessons and homework and for Mr Linton it is Isobel Mitchell in 10M2 for achieving full marks on her Anglo- Saxon factual test.

Well done to all pupils, keep up the great work!
