SEA Gymnasts competed with their club, Hope Acro, at the North West Prelims at Robin Park in Wigan at the weekend. Winners in each category would go on to represent the region at the NDP British Finals in Stoke-on-Trent in May to challenge for national titles.

Isobel Stirrup (Y10) became North West Champion in the Grade 5 Women's Group with her partners with a convincing victory. Isobel is pictured here (back left) with her medal and invitation to the British Finals. Isobel won British Gold at Grade 3 in 2021 and Bronze in 2022 and will hope for a medal again.

Emma Green (Y9) also won gold with her partner in the Grade 5 Women's Pair and will aim for a 3rd British medal after silver medals in 2021 and 2022. Emma (right) is pictured here on the podium.

Ava Earley (Y10 -back left) and Isla Cook (Y9 - back right) and their partner were the winners in the Grade 4 Women's Group with a fantastic performance It will be Isla's second consecutive appearance at the British Finals after just missing out on a medal last year in a different partnership.

 

 

 

 

Freya Cross (Y9 - back right) also won silver in this category to share the podium with their clubmates.

 

Hannah Gannon competed in the ultra-competitive Grade 3 Women's Group with her trio and became SEA's 4th North West Champion of the day with a fantastic performance. Hannah (back left) is pictured on the podium.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In the same category as Hannah, Hattie Lloyd (Y8 - back left) and Eva Booth (Y9 - back right) were close behind to win a well-deserved silver medal. 

Jessica Bithell (Y8) also competed in the Grade 3 Women's Group, competing with her new trio for the first time and finished in 9th position.

Lola Sitko (Y7 - left) competed in her last competition as a 'top' as she moves down to be a 'base' in a new partnership and new stage of her gymnastics career. She won a silver medal in the Youth Women's Pair with her partner - former SEA student Mia Ellison.

Amelia Roberts (Y11) also performed well and finished in a creditable 11th place in a competitive Grade 4 Women's Pair category.
