At KS3 you will be assessed each half term on your work in drama. You will be given a level to show how you are progressing and you will fill in your own evaluation sheet noting down your achievements and areas for improvement.
At KS4 you will be assessed each half term on whatever part of the course you are working on at that time. The three areas are: Understanding Drama, Devising Drama and Texts in practice. Your end of year grade (from 9 to 1) will be based on your work in all 3 areas.
Your final GCSE grade is based on the combined marks from the three sections of the course:
- A portfolio exploring your own devised drama – 40%
- A showcase of two dramatic extracts – 20%
- A written exam – 40%
